We continue into Austria, to reach our hotel in the Tyrol for three nights.
Join today's included excursion as we head to the capital of Tyrol, Innsbruck. Our city tour will show you some of the highlights, such as the historical Old Town with its lovely Golden Roof, the Hofburg, former imperial residence of the ruling Habsburg Family and the pretty Maria Theresien Street with its stylish shops. Of course, you will also have time to explore this delightful city on your own.
Enjoy a visit to the city of Salzburg today on our included excursion. Why not join our optional guided sightseeing tour where our local guide will show you all the main features of this beautiful and compact city? Amongst the highlights you will see the Mirabell Gardens and the attractive Old Town, including, of course, the famous Getreidegasse, where you will visit Mozart’s birthplace. After the guided city walk you will have the chance to taste the original Mozartkugel – you’re sure to be impressed by the exquisite composition of chocolate and Marzipan!

We leave the Tyrol and head east towards the Wachau region, making a brief stop in Dürnstein, where Richard The Lionheart was held captive by Duke Leopold V. Continue to Vienna and our hotel for five nights.
Join our included excursion with our guide, which will show you some of the highlights of this charming city. Travel the famous Ringstrasse, home to the Opera House, the Burg Theatre and the Houses of Parliament. See many other sights including the famous Hundertwasser House and the Big Wheel in the Prater funfair, made famous by the movie The Third Man. After an early dinner at the hotel, the highlight of your stay takes place this evening – the amazing Andrea Bocelli in the Wiener Stadthalle!
Today’s optional excursion is to Burgenland, the most easterly province in Austria. This area could, from the landscape, easily be mistaken for neighbouring Hungary. Visit the wine village of Rust and enjoy a traditional Pannonia lunch. Enjoy a tour of a local wine cellar, followed by some winetasting. A horse-drawn carriage ride through the vineyards is followed by a short boat cruise on Lake Neusiedl. Enjoy dinner at a traditional restaurant in Vienna!
Enjoy a day exploring Vienna – be sure to visit one of the Viennese Cafés and taste a piece of Sachertorte. Or, stroll through the narrow streets around the Kärntnerstrasse and go shopping, visit churches, museums and other sights – there is so much to discover! The day ends in one of the cosy Heuriger wine taverns with hearty food, wine and some “moody” Schrammeln (Music)!
Join our included tour of the Vienna Woods. Visit the Abbey at Heiligenkreuz, known for its Gregorian chants, which are sung each day at midday by the monks. We include a guided tour of the Abbey, before continuing later this afternoon to the spa town of Baden in the southern Vienna Woods, famous for its pretty Biedermeier houses. Dinner will take place at a typical Viennese restaurant.

If you prefer, then you can join the tour at the hotel. To do this, we will require a copy of your passport for identification purposes and you must advise us at the time of booking.
No reduction will be given if you should choose to do this.
We are unable to guarantee that the hotel will be able to meet your dietary requirements. We find that the majority of European countries do not generally cater for vegetarians and that the meal supplied may well be what everyone else is having minus the meat.
We will of course endeavour to arrange for a vegetarian meal at the hotel. We do however suggest that you advise us of your dietary requests at the time of booking and recommend that you speak to the receptionist on arrival with regard to your request.
You will stay for three nights at the 4-star Hotel Reschenhof in Mils in Tyrol’s Inn Valley, just a 15-minute drive from Innsbruck. Renovated in 2016, it offers a restaurant, serving international cuisine. Guests can also visit the on-site show distillery. You will then stay for five nights at the 4-star Austria Trend Hotel Ananas in Vienna. Located 100 metres from Pilgramgasse U-Bahn (subway) Station, the hotel is just a 5-minute ride from the State Opera in the centre of Vienna. The Johann Strauss Café features typical Viennese coffeehouse culture. The restaurant serves traditional Viennese specialties, national and international dishes, as well as fresh pastries. The popular Naschmarkt, with its many food stalls, can be reached in a 5-minute walk.
Overnight stays in Belgium and Germany will be in city-style hotels.
