5-Day Break

• Dec 29 – We travel by coach and join our cruise ship, the MS Juliana, in Cologne. LS
• Dec 30 – Cologne (included). A morning at leisure with time to explore the famous Dom (or cathedral) and stroll along Hohe Strasse, with its tempting shops. In the afternoon, we cruise upstream, past Königswinter and the Westerwald hills to Andernach. B,L,D
• New Years Eve – Rüdesheim (included). Our cruise continues past Koblenz and through the Rhine Gorge to Oberwesel. In the afternoon, we enjoy an excursion to the delightful town of Rüdesheim, home to the famous Drosselgasse, a narrow street lined with a varied selection of bars and shops. We rejoin the ship in Koblenz for a gala New Year's Eve dinner party on board, and fireworks in Koblenz to see in the New Year. B,L,D
• New Years Day – Moselle Valley and Winetasting (optional). We have brunch before our trip to the Moselle Valley, and optional winetasting at the House of Anton Hammes. Return to the ship and sail to Bonn. Br,D
• Jan 2 – We journey by coach from Bonn to Calais, then return home. B
