7-Day Break

• Dec 29 – We travel to Belgium and stay overnight.
• Dec 30 – South to the ancient town of Freistadt in Upper Austria for four nights. Welcome drink on arrival. B,D
• New Year’s Eve – Steyr (included). Enjoy the atmosphere of a bygone age and enjoy a taste of modern-day life in the romantic town of Steyr. Here we see one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, where Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo merge in harmony. In the centre of the town is the lovely “Bummerlhaus”, a jewel of late Gothic architecture. Return to our hotel to prepare for this evening’s 4-course gala dinner with live music and dancing. B,D
• New Year’s Day – Linz (included). A relaxing start this morning after last night’s festivities. In the afternoon visit Linz, the capital of Upper Austria, set beside the romantic River Danube. B,D
• Jan 2 – Cesky Krumlov (optional). We travel north into the Czech Republic to see one of the most beautiful and well-preserved towns in the Czech Republic, Cesky Krumlov. In 1992 it was entered on the list of world heritage sites that are protected by UNESCO. Join a walking tour (optional) through the quaint winding medieval streets. B,D
• Jan 3 – To Belgium for an overnight stay. B
• Jan 4 – Homeward bound via Calais. B
