Christmas Holiday - 6-Day Break

• Dec 22 – We travel by coach and join our cruise ship, the MS Rhine Princess, at Cologne. LS
• Dec 23 – Cologne (included). We enjoy a morning at leisure in this exciting cathedral city, with time to discover the colourful Christmas markets. This afternoon, following lunch on board, sit back and relax, as the Rhine Princess sets sail. Later this evening, we enjoy a welcome drink and introduction to the crew, prior to our arrival in the old roman town of Andernach, where we berth for the night. B,L,D
• Christmas Eve – Rüdesheim (included). Marvel at the stunning scenery as we cruise upstream through the Rhine Gorge, passing the legendary Loreley Rock. Later this afternoon, we arrive in the vibrant town of Rüdesheim, home of the quaint Drosselgasse, a narrow street lined with traditional German bars and shops. It's party night on board tonight! B,L,D
• Christmas Day – Cochem (optional). Enjoy a leisurely morning cruise to the city of Koblenz, before our Christmas turkey lunch. This afternoon, our optional excursion takes us through the delightful Moselle Valley to Cochem. B,L,D
• Boxing Day – We depart Koblenz and cruise to Königswinter. Following lunch onboard, enjoy an afternoon cruise to Cologne. Later, enjoy cocktails with the captain and a 'farewell dinner' to complete our fabulous Christmas cruise. B,L,D
• Dec 27 – After an early breakfast, we bid farewell to our crew and travel by coach to Calais, then return home. B

New Year Holiday - 7-Day Break

• Dec 27 – Travel from our local joining point to our overnight hotel in the Paris area.
• Dec 28 – Through eastern France to the border city of Strasbourg to join our cruise ship, the M S Monet at around 1800 hrs. Dinner on board and evening departure for the cruise to Koblenz. B,D
• Dec 29 – Cruising to Koblenz. Breakfast and lunch as we cruise down the Rhine passing Worms and Wiesbaden. During the afternoon we cruise on the part of the Rhine most charged with romanticism. We see the famous Loreley Rock, steeped in legend as the river snakes through a route dominated by dramatic ruins, hillside vineyards and majestic fortresses. We arrive in Koblenz at approx 1800hrs. Gala Dinner on board followed by dancing. B,L,D
• Dec 30 – Koblenz to Rüdesheim. Explore the town of Koblenz this morning, situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle, before sailing to Rüdesheim arriving at approx. 1700hrs. Optional visit to Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum. Dinner on board. B,L,D
• New Years Eve – Rüdesheim to Mannheim. Enjoy breakfast and lunch on board as we cruise towards Mannheim arriving at approx 1300hrs. In the afternoon enjoy an optional excursion by coach to Heidelberg. Return to ship for New Year’s Eve dinner followed by festivities in the lounge where we celebrate the 12 chimes of midnight. We sail to Strasbourg through the night. B,L,D
• New Years Day – Mannheim to Strasbourg. Onion soup will be served at dawn, followed by brunch between 0800hrs and midday as we sail through some of the largest locks on the Rhine at Iffezheim and Gambsheim. Games and aperitifs in the lounge before mid- afternoon arrival in Strasbourg. Disembark and travel to overnight hotel in northern France. Br
• Jan 2y – After breakfast, we bid farewell to our crew and travel by coach to Calais, then return home. B

Important Note:

At some ports of call a degree of walking is involved to join your tour coach. Also, due to limited docking facilities at certain ports, it may be necessary to dock alongside another ship to gain shore access.
