7-Day Break

  • Day 1 – We break up our journey with an overnight stay in northern France.
  • Day 2 – We arrive in Col des Mosses, Switzerland and stay for four nights. B,D
  • Day 3 – Chamonix (optional, included on Silver Service). Our alpine adventure begins with a leisurely visit to charming Chamonix in France, quietly nestled at the foot of Mont Blanc. B,D
  • Day 4 – Zermatt (included) and The Gornergrat Railway (optional). Travelling by coach to the town of Täsch, we then journey by train to the internationally renowned mountain village of Zermatt (below the Matterhorn) where you can enjoy time at leisure. Join our optional rail ride on the Gornergrat Railway - Switzerland's highest operating railway station, running trains since 1898. Gently climbing through a natural paradise, the Gornergrat Bahn takes us from Zermatt up the 3089m high peak. We cross pine and larch forests and alpine meadows full of flowers, arriving in the midst of snow and ice-covered mountain peaks, including the great Matterhorn, Liskamm and Dufour-Spitze. B,D
  • Day 5 – The Golden Pass Railway and Geneva (included). We enjoy panoramic views of the Swiss Alps on the magnificent Golden Pass Railway. We begin our journey in Zweisimmen and pass through the world-famous resorts, Gstaad and Châteaux d'Oex. As we near Montreux, the Lake Region begins to unfold below us, revealing lovely views of the popular 'Swiss Riviera'. We spend the rest of the day in lakeside Geneva. Our sightseeing tour (optional) visits the Jet d'Eau and the Reformation Monument. Then there's free time to wander around this cosmopolitan city, with its smart shops (Geneva is the 'home' of the Swiss watch-making industry). The day ends with a chance to see the city from the water, on an optional lake cruise. B,D
  • Day 6 – We travel to our hotel in northern France for an overnight stay. B
  • Day 7 – We journey to Calais then return home. B
