Your Holiday Itinerary
9-Day Break
- Day 1 – We break up our journey with an overnight stay in Belgium.
- Day 2 – We arrive at our hotel in Prague for two nights. B,D
- Day 3 – Prague sightseeing (included) We spend the day in the elegant Czech capital, marvelling at the sights, including Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square and Old Town Square, with a little window-shopping and local delicacies along the way. Our walking tour introduces the splendid architecture of Prague Old Town, the world's largest UNESCO monument, whilst our Prague by night tour (optional) gives you the chance to sample the special ambience of the Old Town Square. - Day 4 – Konopiste Castle (optional). Spend a further day in Prague or why not join our optional excursion to the impressive castle of Konopsite set in the beautiful Czech countryside to the south of Prague. The castle dates from 14th century, and predominantly used for hunting, houses a huge collection of historical weapons, period furniture, paintings and tapestries. B,D
- Day 5 – Bratislava (included). En route to Vienna Woods from Prague, we visit Bratislava, Slovakia’s largest city. We have a brief orientation of the highlights of the city, with it’s long history and exquisitely renovated centre of Baroque palaces, fountains and romantic streets. B,D
- Day 6 –Vienna (included) and Vienna Sightseeing (optional). The former imperial city of Vienna has a fascinating heritage as the centre of the Habsburg Empire and is also the world capital of classical music, having been home to many famous composers. There are over 80 museums, plus elegant shops and boutiques. Maybe try some Wiener Schnitzel or relax in one of the famous Viennese coffee houses. Our guided tour (optional) will introduce the principal sights, including the Hofburg Palace, the Parliament building, the Opera House, National Theatre and the City Hall. We see the house where Johann Strauss composed the Blue Danube Waltz, before crossing the Danube to see the United Nations complex. We pass the famous Prater Wheel, before returning to the centre. - Day 7 – Budapest with Sightseeing (included). To Budapest to discover the Hungarian capital at leisure, perhaps taking a stroll along the Danube, or visiting the tempting stores of Vaci Utca street. Our included sightseeing tour takes in many points of interest, beginning with a drive to Gellért Hill, then over the Chain Bridge and on to the Pest district, passing Heroes Square and the charming Andrassy Road. Finally, we make our way to the Buda castle district. B,D
- Day 8 – During our journey home, we spend a night in Belgium. B
- Day 9 – We arrive in Calais for our return journey home. B
