  • Day 5 – Bratislava, then afternoon departure to Prague. B,D
  • Excursions & Visits – Bratislava (included). Spend time in Bratislava, Slovakia’s largest city and capital. Its 2000 year history boasts a rich host of surviving monuments that tell of its past under Hungarian rule. Most of what is to see is centred in the Old Town area. See the splendid Town Hall, dating from the 14th century, Michael’s Gate, and the reputedly narrowest house in Europe. Also not to be missed are the sumptuous Baroque palaces, including the Grassalkovich Palace and the Primate’s Palace, and, of course the famous Castle, set high on a plateau above the River Danube and dating from the 10th century.
  • Day 6 – Prague. B,D
  • Excursions & Visits – Prague (included) with guided sightseeing (optional, included on SILVER SERVICE). Prague is affectionately known as the ‘Golden Town’, on account of its historic architecture including cathedrals, gold-tipped towers, church domes and numerous bridges which span the majestic Vltava River. The city also presents a modern façade, with exciting shopping arcades, bustling city squares, and an excellent array of restaurants and cafés in which to sample the local specialities washed down with a glass of local beer. Starting from the stunning Prague Castle, our walking tour will introduce the splendid architecture of Prague Old Town, the world’s largest UNESCO monument. Following the tour, why not relax as we take to the water for an optional cruise on the Vltava River. A buffet lunch will be served on board with a selection of warm and cold Czech specialities for you to enjoy. So sit back on the sundeck, listen to the musician, and admire the outstanding views of the ‘city of a hundred spires’.
