Your Holiday Itinerary
4-Day Break
- Day 1 – We arrive in Trier for three nights.
- Day 2 – Trier(included). Enjoy the Christmas Market in Trier which takes place in the town centre. Explore the festive stalls whilst enjoying a cup of Glühwein amongst the splendid old buildings. See also the Porta Nigra, the oldest Roman gateway in Germany. B
- Day 3 – Cologne (included). Enjoy a full day in the Rhineland capital of Cologne. You will find a plentiful supply of mulled wine and Christmas specialities at Cologne's Christmas Markets. The floating market aboard one of the cruise ships moored along the Rhine Promenade is one of the city’s six. The Altermarkt is picturesquely situated in Cologne’s old town and, by following the shopping streets of Hohe Strasse and Schildergasse, you come to the Christmas Market at Neumarkt and the Fairytale Market at Rudolfplatz. Finally, at the foot of the towering Cologne Cathedral, you will find the fascinating Christmas Market am Dom. B
- Day 4 – We journey to Calais, then return home.B
