• Day 3 – Lucca and Pisa (optional). Lucca is one of Italy’s finest medieval towns and home to the Cathedral of San Martino and the Piazza Napoleone. We see the worldfamous town of Pisa in the afternoon.B,D
• Day 4 – Siena (optional, included on Silver Service). The Gothic ‘city of the blessed Virgins’ is centred on the ‘red’ Piazza del Campo. We see the famous cathedral, the Sala del Pellegrinaio, and admire the view from the Facciatone, or ‘big facade’.B,D
• Day 5 – Florence (included). The capital of Tuscany contributed much to the cultural development of Europe. Our optional guided sightseeing tour visits the Bargello Museum and the Piazza della Signoria.B,D
• Day 6 – Bologna (optional). Surrounded by hills, Bologna’s city centre is still much as it was during the Renaissance, with dusky redcoloured buildings, wide piazzas and arched porticoes with floors laid with marble. Our optional guided sightseeing tour will help you discover the best of this city.B,D
• Day 7 – Free time before leaving for express overnight journey north.B
• Day 8 – Arrive Calais and return home.
