14-Day Break

• Day 1 – We break up our journey with an overnight stay in northern France.
• Day 2 – We arrive at our hotel in the beautiful Lake Como area of the Italian Lakes. B
• Day 3 – Pisa (included). On our visit to Pisa, join our optional guided tour to explore the area around the famous Leaning Tower. B,D
• Day 4 – We continue to the Sorrento Peninsula area where we stay for seven nights. B,D
• Day 5 – Sorrento and Coastal Villages (included). Escorted by a local guide, we drive through valleys, mountains and terraces lined with orange and lemon trees, olive groves and vineyards, all descending to the sea. B,D
• Day 6 – Sorrento (included). Wander the narrow streets and harbour area, browsing the souvenir shops or relax with a traditional Italian pastry and cappucino. B,D
• Day 7 – Pompeii and Vesuvius (optional). Learn about Pompeii’s last days, its people and its eventual destruction by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79AD (entrance at additional cost). We continue to Vesuvius and our tour takes us to 3,000 feet, where you can continue on foot to the crater (there is a local charge of approx. €6.50 to visit the crater). B,D
• Day 8 – Isle of Capri (optional). Sail across the Bay of Naples to magnificent Capri, a popular home to the rich and famous. Explore the island's spectacular cliff-top panoramas, with views of Vesuvius. B,D
• Day 9 – Amalfi Drive (optional). 'The most spectacular road in Europe' offers fabulous scenery. See the lovely cathedral and hillside town of Ravello, perched 350 metres above the sea. B,D
• Day 10 – Sorrento (optional).B,D
• Day 11 – Rome (included) See the palaces and piazzas of the Roman Empire's former capital, while the optional guided sightseeing tour covers the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and Rome's greatest amphitheatre - the Colosseum. We continue to Chiaciano Terme for an overnight stay. B,D
• Day 12 – Vipiteno (included). En route to Austria, enjoy the history and tradition of the shopping haven of Vipiteno in the Italian Alps before an overnight stay in Austria. B,D
• Day 13 – During our journey home, we spend a night in Belgium. B
• Day 14 – Journey to Calais then return home. B
