Your Holiday Itinerary

9-Day Break

• Day 1 – We travel to northern France for an overnight stay.
• Day 2 – We arrive in Diano Marina on the Italian Riviera for a six-night stay. B,D
• Day 3 – Nice and Eze (included). We travel to Eze and the Fragonard perfume factory. Join our tour to sample and buy perfume at fabulous prices. Next, we go to Nice, with some free time to explore or simply stroll along the famous Promenade des Anglais. B,D
• Day 4 – St. Paul de Vence and Cannes (included). St. Paul de Vence is a beautiful fortified medieval village, known as the home of artists such as Renoir, Chagall and Matisse. Wander the cobblestoned streets, admire the paintings, craft shops and boutiques, and soak up the atmosphere of a village dating back to the 1500s. We end the day in Cannes, famed for the International Film Festival. Feel like a film-star on the Boulevard de la Croisette, with hotels, boutiques and gardens on one side, and glorious beaches on the other. B,D
• Day 5 – A day at leisure in Diano Marina. B,D
• Day 6 – Monaco and Monte Carlo (optional). There's a morning visit to the Principality of Monaco - its eight square miles form the smallest, and almost certainly the wealthiest, sovereign state. It also has one of the few autocratic Monarchies left in the world. The afternoon is at leisure in probably the most famous area of Monaco - Monte Carlo, where you can rub shoulders with the rich and famous. If you feel lucky, take a chance in the Grand Casino, with its lavish interiors decorated in the striking Belle Époque style. B,D
• Day 7 – Santa Margherita and Portofino (optional). We visit Santa Margherita's marinas, shops and Basilica di Santa Margherita. A boat trip from Santa Margherita to Portofino (optional), weather permitting, is recommended. Once a struggling artists' refuge, the town is now one of Italy's most fashionable resorts. The harbour is moored with expensive ocean-going yachts, and its pedestrian-only streets are crammed with a galaxy of designer names and stylish restaurants. B,D
• Day 8 – We begin our homeward journey and stop in northern France overnight. B
• Day 9 – We travel to Calais and then home. B
