14-Day Break
- Day 1 – Local departure then onwards to Belgium for an overnight stay.
- Day 2 – Via Via Möhne Dam, of Dambusters fame, to Berlin for 2 nights. B,D
- Day 3 – Berlin. B,D
- Excursions and Visits – Berlin (included). To make the most of your visit join our optional guided sightseeing tour, which includes the Berlin Cathedral, Brandenburg Gate and the Berlin Wall. With many large department stores, Berlin is a shopper’s haven.
- Day 4 – To Warsaw for a 2-night stay. B,D
- Day 5 – Warsaw. B,D
- Excursions and Visits – Warsaw (included). Nearly destroyed in WWII, yet restored in under 13 years, Poland’s pretty capital is a gem! Our optional guided sightseeing tour, (included on Silver Service) takes in the castles, monuments and cathedrals at the heart of this robust nation.
- Day 6 – Via Jasna Gora and Auschwitz to Krakow for 2 nights. B,D
- Excursions and Visits – Jasna Gora and Auschwitz (included). En route to Krakow we visit the fascinating 4th-century Paulite Monastery at Jasna Gora and its famous ‘Black Madonna’. Afterwards, we visit Auschwitz Concentration Camp for a remembrance visit.
- Day 7 – Krakow and Wieliczka Salt Mines. B
- Excursions and Visits – Krakow with Guided Sightseeing Tour (included). Krakow’s Old Town is placed on the UNESCO list of protected World Historic Sites on account of its fabulous architecture.
- Excursions and Visits – Wieliczka Salt Mines (optional), Afternoon visit to the famous salt mines where salt mining has continued since the Middle Ages.
- Day 8 – TTo Budapest for a 2-night stay. B,D
- Excursions and Visits – Budapest (included). A full day to discover the Hungarian capital at leisure. Our optional sightseeing tour (included on Silver Service) captures many sights, beginning with a drive to Gellért Hill, then over the famous Chain Bridge and onto the Pest district, ending at the Buda castle district. Take a relaxing lunch cruise (optional) on the majestic ‘blue’ Danube to enjoy the great scenery.
- Day 9 – Budapest. B,D
- Day 10 – To Vienna, overnight in the Vienna Woods area. B,D
- Excursions and Visits – Vienna (included). We arrive in Vienna in the early afternoon. Our optional guided tour will introduce the principal sights, including the Hofburg Palace, the Parliament Building and the City Hall. We see the house where Johann Strauss composed the Blue Danube Waltz, before crossing the Danube to see the United Nations complex. We then pass the famous Prater Wheel before returning to the centre. Tonight, take in an optional Viennese concert with the Salon Orchestra of Vienna.
- Day 11 – To Prague for a 2-night stay. B,D
- Day 12 – Prague. B,D
- Excursions and Visits – Sightseeing Tour (included). Prague is affectionately known as the ‘Golden Town’ on account of its historic architecture, including cathedrals, gold-tipped towers, church domes and the bridges spanning the majestic Vltava River. Our guided walking tour introduces the splendid architecture of Prague Old Town, the world’s largest UNESCO monument. We learn about the city’s long rich history and see highlights including the Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge and Wenceslas Square.
- Day 13 – To Belgium for an overnight stay. B
- Day 14 – To Calais then return home. B

Take a relaxing lunch cruise (optional) on the majestic 'blue' Danube to enjoy the great scenery. B,D
- Day 10 – We travel to Vienna arriving early afternoon (included). Our guided sightseeing tour (optional) is the perfect way to see the sights. We see the State Opera House, Parliament and the Ringstrasse. Tonight take in a Mozart concert (optional) with the Vienna Residence Orchestra. Overnight in the Vienna Woods area. B,D
- Day 11 – To Prague for a two-night stay. B,D
- Day 12 – Prague with guided sightseeing tour (included). The Czech Republic's capital is a Gothic masterpiece, known as the 'centre of Europe'. We see Wenceslas Square, the famous astronomical clock, Charles Bridge and much more. B,D
- Day 13 – We head to Belgium for the night. B
- Day 14 – We journey to Calais, then return home. B
