This visit of the historical centre of Berlin will begin at Schlossplatz square on the site of the 15th century Berlin City Palace, which was demolished during the 1950s to house government buildings of the East German regime such as the Palast der Republik. From here, we will make our way to Alexanderplatz, Berlin with its enormous TV tower – another symbol of the cold war.
