4-Day Break

• Day 1 – Local departure then to the Paris area for a 3 or 4-night stay. 
• Day 2 – Paris (included), Paris Sightseeing (optional), Paris by Night (optional). Our guided optional sightseeing tour is the best way to see the major sights, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Élysées, Place de la Concorde and the Cathedral of Notre Dame. For a different view of the city, we recommend our optional narrated River Seine cruise. In the evening our optional ‘Paris by Night’
  tour begins with a visit to the Montparnasse Tower, one of Europe’s tallest skyscrapers from where you will get the most beautiful view of Paris stretching out before you. B
• Day 3 – Versailles and Monet’s Garden (included). First we visit the impressive Château and Gardens of Versailles (admission to château is extra – approximately €15-20 per person). Next, we visit Giverny in Normandy and the home of Claude Monet – the artist lived here from 1883 until his death in 1926. The house and gardens, made famous by his ‘waterlilies’ paintings, have been restored to Monet’s original designs, the gardens being considered by many to be his greatest work. Planned out meticulously so that a different colour would dominate every month, the beautiful shades and shapes ensure the gardens are a delight at any time of the year. B
• Day 4 – To Calais then return home. B

• Day 4 – Fontainebleau and Vaux Le Vicomte (included). Delightfully situated in the heart of a beautiful forest and surrounded by an impressive garden, the Château de Fontainebleau was a hunting residence of the former French monarchy. The gardens contain an array of different styles and have been influenced by many people. We also visit the Château de Vaux-Le-Vicomte, created by French masters, including architect and landscape gardener André Le Nôtre. B
• Day 5 – To Calais then return home. B
