Purpose built for Freestyle Cruising, the Norwegian Gem came into service in August 2005 and is truly magnificent. Freestyle Cruising offers diverse and exciting restaurants, a more relaxed dress code and more things to see and do. The cruise experience has been designed around complete freedom of choice.

With facilities and cabins on 12 decks, this floating city boasts 8 restaurants, 11 bars and lounges, swimming pool, hot tubs and a health spa. Your time is free to relax around the pools, browse the shops, visit the library or go for more active deck games, including basketball, volleyball and tennis. There’s a choice of entertainment in the evening, from the casino or superb international shows in the Cabaret Lounge and Bar, to dancing the night away in the Spinnaker Lounge.

There are up to 8 different restaurants featuring diverse, ever-changing menus, with no fixed sittings. Restaurants are open from 5.30pm to midnight for either an early dinner before the show or a later romantic interlude. Of course, there’s always the option of 24-hour room service! All meals in the main restaurants and 24-hour restaurant, snacks and on-deck grills are included in the holiday price. Speciality restaurants incur a nominal fee.

We have a choice of staterooms available, though all rooms have air-conditioning, T.V., safe, fridge, duvet, bathroom with shower, W.C. and hairdryer. Prices are based on Inside Cabins, with upgrades available to Superior Inside, Outside and Outside with Balcony.
