Your Holiday Itinerary
10-Day Break
- Day 1 – To Paris for an overnight stay.
- Day 2 – Meet your Tour Manager and transfer by coach to the Gare de Lyon, then to Milan by TGV. Transfer to Emilia Reggio for an overnight stay. B,D
- Day 3 – Siena (included). Head to Siena this morning, en route to Chianciano Terme. Centered around the Piazza del Campo, Siena has worked hard to preserve its Gothic architecture. You will have time at leisure to discover this charming Tuscan town before we continue to Chianciano Terme for three nights. B,D
- Day 4 – Rome (included). Today you have the full day to discover the former capital of the Roman Empire with our visit to the ‘eternal city’ of Rome. A lovely place to explore, our guided sightseeing tour (optional) by coach and on foot is a fantastic way to introduce you to the city’s array of spectacular sights. Accompanied by a local guide, you will visit the principal sights of the city. Climb the famous Spanish Steps and ensure a return visit to the city by tossing a coin in the Trevi Fountain. A visit to the mighty Colosseum, with a guided tour of Rome’s greatest amphitheatre, will be the highlight of your day. B,D
- Day 5 – Assisi (optional). Assisi is a delightful town perched halfway up Monte Subasio, offering spectacular views and pleasant, fountain-splashed piazzas, but it is its close association with St Francis, the much-loved Catholic saint, that attracts visitors. During the day you will have time at leisure to explore this fascinating town which, despite its popularity, manages to retain a tranquil charm, reflecting its most famous son. B,D
- Day 6 – Florence (included). Leaving Chianciano, we head to the Renaissance city of Florence, cultural capital of Tuscany, and home to many of the world’s most important works of art. Get more out of your day in Florence by joining our local guide for a tour of the city (optional). Travel by coach up the hills behind the city to Piazza Michelangelo from where you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the city and surrounding countryside. Once you have taken your photos, the coach will take you back to the city, where your guide will lead you on a walking tour through the delightful streets of Florence, pointing out the major sights. After time in Florence, we head to Venice Mestre for a two-night stay. B,D
- Day 7 – Venice (included). Spend a full day in the enchanting city of Venice. Famous for its many spectacular sights, Venice is home to the Bridge of Sighs, St Mark’s Square and the Doges’ Palace. A ride on a gondola (optional), with your expert gondolier steering you through the busy waterways of Venice, is a unique and exciting way to explore the city, or you may decide just to sit back and relax at Harry’s Bar with one of their famous Bellini cocktails. - Day 8 – Verona (included). Visit Verona, the second largest city in the Veneto and setting for ‘Romeo and Juliet’. This beautiful Roman city is situated alongside the River Adige. The many historic buildings, the mighty Roman Arena famous for its summer opera performances, and Juliet’s balcony make it a lovely place to explore on foot. You will also have time to browse amongst the shops or take a coffee break in one of the many cafés in Piazza Bra overlooking the Arena. Our guided walking tour (optional) will introduce you to the many charms of the city. Verona boasts an abundance of fine palaces, churches and monuments, which adorn its alleyways and squares. Our informative guide will reveal many of the fascinating stories behind the history of the buildings and personalities, allowing you to appreciate to the full the charming nature of this fine old historic town. We continue to Milan for an overnight stay. B,D
- Day 9 – Transfer to Milan station. TGV to Paris for an overnight stay. B
- Day 10 – Return home by coach or Eurostar to the UK. B

You can travel to Paris by Eurostar from London, Ebbsfleet or Ashford at a supplement of £55 return. Please note that taxi transfers between Gare du Nord Eurostar station and your hotel in Paris are extra and cost around €30 each way.
