Your Holiday Itinerary

5-Day Break

This departure will be tailor-made to suit the requirements of your group and feature Silver Service luxury coach travel. Over the course of three days, the itinerary will be planned to combine visits to the grave/memorial of your choice and the major battlefield sites of the area (making each departure unique). Visits will be made to the Cemeteries of the 1916 and 1918 Somme battlefield plus the area between Arras and Cambrai. Your visit to your chosen memorial/grave will be a private experience, and your guide will take you to the exact location, where you’ll have time alone for quiet commemoration.

How does it work?

Each and every soldier who died in the First World War is either commemorated on a memorial or has his own grave. You can trace the memorial of your family member by visiting the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website or telephone 01628 634221. This will tell you where the person you are looking for is buried or commemorated. All we require is the cemetery or memorial name and reference, along with the name of the soldier.
