Your Holiday Itinerary

9-Day Break

• Day 1 – We travel to Belgium and stop for an overnight stay.
• Day 2 – We arrive in the Austrian Tirol for six nights. B,D
• Day 3 – Innsbruck (included). Innsbruck came to prominence in the 15th century, when the Emperor Maximilian based his imperial court here. Many fine buildings are a testament to the city’s regal past, including the famous Golden Roof and the Hofburg Palace, whilst Maria Theresien Street is also a must. Our optional sightseeing tour (included on Silver Service) takes in these famous sights. We’ll also see the Olympic Ice Stadium, the Berg Isel ski jump and the interior of the Wilten Basilica, said to be the most beautiful church of its kind in the Tirol. Zell am See & Kitzbühel B,L,D
• Day 4– Zell am See & Kitzbühel (optional). Stroll along the lakeside promenade of Lake Zell and enjoy the contrasting scenery of lakes and mountains. Later, we visit the chic ski resort town of Kitzbühel. Stroll around the walled Old Town or maybe take a cable car ride (not included) up the mighty Hahnenkamm Mountain for some amazing views. B,L,D
• Day 5 – Salzburg (included). One of the most beautiful cities in Austria, Salzburg offers lovely squares and medieval lanes, Gothic churches and quaint cafés. It is also famed as the setting for ‘The Sound of Music’. An optional guided walking sightseeing tour is a wonderful way to discover this city, with sights featured in the film, along with many other attractions. B,L,D
• Day 6 – Munich (included). As well as Frauenkirche Cathedral and the city hall with its famous glockenspiel, there are excellent restaurants and famous beer halls, where you can sample traditional Bavarian cooking and a glass of the beer. Our optional sightseeing tour captures the main sights and attractions of Bavaria’s capital city, with its many outstanding buildings and monuments. B,L,D
• Day 7 – Achensee & the Ziller Valley (optional). We travel to Lake Achensee, and spend the morning exploring the alpine surroundings, before continuing to the alpine resort of Mayrhofen, nestled at the end of the Ziller Valley. B,L,D
• Day 8 – We travel to our hotel in Belgium for the night. B
• Day 9 – We journey to Calais, then return home. B
