"For a few years now my wife and I have thought about seeing the tulips at Keukenhof and doing a river cruise, so what could be better than combining the two? Finally, after our first day travelling from the UK, we boarded the Rhine Princess in Amsterdam and early the following morning we left for Vollendam where we spent an enjoyable morning seeing a typical Dutch town.

Later that day the coach took us on the short drive to Keukenhof Park where we had time to wander the beautiful beds and borders where over six million tulips were at their peak. The coach then took a small detour to see the magnificent tulip field before taking us to Hoorn where we spent the evening on board. The following morning we sailed to Lemmor from where we had the chance to partake in an optional trip to a Royal Dutch residence. We decided against the trip in favour of an afternoon spent in Lemmor which is a very pleasant town. We then went back to the boat and had afternoon tea in the lounge.

The next morning, during breakfast, we made for Amsterdam and arrived just after lunch. We had a good afternoon in the city before going on the optional canal cruise. The cruise took us around the city's canals and was a good way to see the sites on offer. We spent the evening back on the boat before making an early start home the following morning.

The coach was comfortable and the drivers superb, they pointed out anything of interest and kept the drinks going throughout. The boat was clean and the crew helpful and friendly, the cabin was comfortable and the travelling smooth and quiet. The food was also outstanding with breakfast, lunch and dinner provided each day with a packed lunch on days out. We kept the same table each day so kept the same company who luckily were lovely people and all six of us got on very well. The ports of call were interesting with town maps handed out each time.

We have been with Leger several times and like the fact we get picked up from our local town of Alfreton by feeder coach. The service provided is a cut above any other coach company that competes on a national level.
