What our previous travellers have to say about this tour

We recently returned from Lake Garda, what a wonderful relaxing holiday we had. We were recommended Leger by a friend and I can honestly say we were not disappointed with our choice, from start to finish everything ran smoothly.

We chose Silver Service at a little extra cost and were so glad we did.

The extra leg room was very much appreciated by my husband but the drivers really made our holiday. Our drivers were so friendly and helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble they were both very accommodating, fun to be with and extremely professional. They really looked after all of us but in particular the people that travelled alone.

We arrived in Garda on our second day and the spectacular views that greeted us were amazing as we snaked down the mountain into Torbole. Our hotel was very nice, it was situated in a good position very close to the lake. Riva was a short walk away and that was a lovely place to visit too, lots of exclusive designer shops selling bags and shoes to name but a few. There were a good selection of restaurants, we tried quite a few at lunchtime, and absolutely loved the lemon spritzs sat looking over the lake in the sunshine.

We also visited Venice and took the gondola ride around the city, a must if it’s your first visit to Venice.
I loved the ride, even though the weather was unkind to us that day. Verona was another gorgeous place and the sun shone all day for us when we visited. The amphitheatre is a must – it’s just steeped in history. We spent a few hours roaming around this ancient building. By far my favourite place was a little place called Limone, which was a short boat trip from Torbole. It’s a small place nestled on the hillside, we meandered up through the cobbled back streets to the Castle, that was defiantly a hidden gem and lemons were growing in abundance inside the Castle walls. The famous limoncello is produced there and we bought quite a few bottles to bring home for presents.

All in all we loved our holiday to Lake Garda and would defiantly go back, but I think that was down to Leger on how professional the organisation is and in particular the excellent standard of their drivers. Thank you Leger, hope to travel with you again soon.

We have travelled with Leger for many years and decided at the last minute to take a holiday at Easter. On this occasion we chose to select the door to door option for the first time. This proved to be a very good option as our cases were picked up from our front door and delivered back on our return.

We boarded our transfer coach in Chester and our drivers Chris and Bryn made us feel welcome and made sure we were comfortable before setting off. The journey to Dover was relaxing and plenty of refreshments were offered along the way. The interchange on this occasion was Stop 24 with the organisation for the transfers to our tour coach well executed.

When we were called to our coach, Stuart and Gareth were there to greet us and made us feel welcome straight away and told us which seats we were in. The journey to our overnight hotel was comfortable with Stuart giving us commentary on places of interest along the way and gave us details of our overnight stop and departure for the next day. The hotel was comfortable, the food was good and all the staff were friendly.

The next day we arrived at the Club Hotel La Vella in Torbole-Sul-Garda. The staff made us feel welcome and showed us to our rooms. The hotel was always clean and comfortable and the food was excellent. Whilst at the resort all the tours were well planned and the drivers Stuart and Gareth were very informative about the local areas.

Day one at the resort saw us have a leisurely drive to the wine tasting afternoon. We have had wine tasting on previous holidays but this one was something totally different with a light lunch of local meats and cheeses included.

Day two saw us going to Venice were we have been on a number of occasions with Leger and have always found different things to do. This time we strolled the narrow streets and canals before finding a nice restaurant for lunch before embarking on the lagoon cruise. Our favorite tour of the holiday this time was the boat trip on Lake Garda around the picturesque villages which was a lovely and enjoyable relaxing day.

Day five took us to the lovely city of Verona. This was a first for us so we joined the optional walking sightseeing tour which took us to see Juliet’s balcony and many more interesting places. The tour concluded with us going inside the Roman Amphitheatre were we sat in the gallery and had time to take many memorable photographs.

We have travelled with Stuart on many occasions but this was our first time with Gareth. This again was an enjoyable experience as both went out of their way to ensure that all on the tour got the maximum benefit from their holiday. The coach was always kept spotlessly clean inside and out with Stuart and Gareth always keeping us informed about the places we visited. Overall the tour was excellent value for money and we have now planned our summer holiday to the Little Trains of Austrian.
Thank you and all the staff at Leger who are involved in giving us memorable holidays.
