Belgian Grand Prix by Coach or Self Drive

What our previous travellers have to say about this tour

All three of us (my wife, son and I) are F1 fans and we chose the Spa Grand Prix, as a reward for our son’s excellent GCSE results last year.

The atmosphere walking in to Spa was fantastic and being greeted almost immediately by the sight of Eau Rouge and La Source was really quite something.

We had Bronze tickets for the track, which gave us plenty of options of where to sit. On the Saturday we chose the Camel Straight and got a fantastic view leading out of Eau Rouge that coupled with the stunning views of the Ardennes Forest, which made us choose it again on the Sunday. If you go with a Bronze ticket I would suggest you take walking boots or strong footwear as some of the viewing points are quite steep grass bankings.

The highlight for us was arriving for Qualifying, on the Saturday, and soaking up the atmosphere and buzz all around us. There were plenty of toilets and food and drink outlets within 2 minutes of pretty much anywhere you chose to sit. The toilet facilities are not the best but you really shouldn’t expect much in any case, a good tip would be to bring toilet tissue wipes!

There was a great mix of people on the coach and everyone got along really well. Everyone swapping stories on the coach helped the travel time fly by. We really could not have expected any more from the tour; we got a lot more than we could have hoped for.
The coach was comfortable and clean. Our drivers Ian and Mel were excellent and well organised and we felt we were in safe hands. The facilities on board were good with no complaints.

The hotel was well beyond our expectations; I would recommend the Brussels Schuman Holiday Inn to anyone. The rooms were fantastic and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The hotel was surrounded by restaurants, but we chose the square, which was about 400m from the hotel, which hosted bars and restaurants to cater for all tastes.

Having never been on a coach tour before, we didn’t really know what expect, so it was a delight for it to exceed all we could have hoped for and we would not travel this way with anyone other than Leger from now on. We are all now looking forward to booking the Spa Grand Prix with Leger again, though, perhaps we might upgrade to Silver tickets for a little more comfort at the track.

I’d recommend Leger to anyone that asks, a colleague at work has already asked for the details so he can book next year as well.

So to sum up: A fantastic tour, perfectly organised a must for any F1 fans! Why do it any other way?
