What our previous travellers have to say about this tour

"A once in a lifetime holiday, would recommend to anyone who enjoys this type of group holiday."

"We have been on a number coach holidays in America/ South Africa/ Australia/China/U. K. with different coach companies but not Leger Travel!

This year we decided to travel to Russia and found that going by overland tour bus, was the best way to see as much as possible.  We found that Leger was the only coach company which suited our needs with the Silver Service Coach travel, which was excellent.

Everything went like clockwork on the departure day and were soon on the Continent, with tea/coffee and alcoholic drinks at very reasonable prices on the coach. Check point Charlie in Berlin was a highlight and the remaining Berlin Wall. Into Poland and on wards to Warsaw, again lots to see.

Barry and Gareth the Drivers were excellent and could not do enough, the keys were available on arrival at every Hotel and the bags delivered promptly to our rooms.

All the Hotels were excellent; plenty of food, seconds if you wanted it.

The Silver Service Coach came into its own on this type of extended coach holiday; very comfortable.
The Russian Border crossing was grid locked but Barry was waved through and we were processed in an hour, quicker than Calais, very impressive.

The Highlight of course was Russia, which exceeded all our expectations; Red Square, the Kremlin, the Moscow underground, Hermitage Museum and Romanov family’s home.

Onto St Petersburg, again so much to see; Swan Lake Ballet , boat trip on the canals, the Cossack ex solders show- all was excellent.

Border crossing from Russia to Finland again very easy, just had to follow Barry's instructions. Then onto Finland and the overnight sea crossing, fantastic ferry, bars/restaurant's/shops.

Sweden, Denmark, Germany all flew past and finally we arrived at the Chocolate Factory for a load up in Belgium. Back across the Pond and back home.

A once in a lifetime holiday, would recommend to anyone who enjoys this type of group holiday.  The two drivers Barry and Gareth made the holiday with their knowledge and humor, this holiday would not have been the same without these two. This epic journey went like clockwork, no missed turns or stopping to ask the way, 6000 KM / 40000 Miles in 16 days!

We have now booked another holiday with Leger next year and have high expectations for this holiday!

"I have finally had time to assimilate all the wonders of our latest trip with Leger and what a marvellous experience we have had. So much culture, history and wonderful experiences, this Grand Russian Spectacular really lived up to its name.

The hotels:

• Crowne Plaza Antwerp: An excellent hotel, with very good rooms and breakfast buffet. We also had a bar meal there on the last night, which was excellent and reasonably priced.
• Tryp by Wyndham, berlin City East: God hotel and rooms.
• Radisson Blu Sobieski Warsaw: Good Rooms and again good food.
• Renaissane, Minsk: Excellent hotel, food really good.
• Holiday Inn Sokolniki, Moscow & Park Inn Veliky: Both very good with good food.
• Nordic Ferry trip: Cabins clean and very quiet, so managed to sleep well. We had an excellent meal in one of the restaurants, in a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
• Copenhagen Island Hotel: Excellent evening meal served by very happy, communicative staff. Breakfast again was excellent and rooms also.

The Excursions:

We did all the optional excursions, as well as the included ones. They were brilliant, very informative and well worth the extra. The Moscow by Night & Underground were really highlights, as was Red Square and the Kremlin. Our tour guide Elena was excellent, so enthusiastic, brilliant interaction with the group.

The St Petersburg excursions were excellent, as was our guide Paulina. Again, she was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and we all appreciated her work. The Russian folk show was another highlight, as was the ballet and river trip.
The sightseeing tour of Copenhagen was very informative and our guide, Jenny was excellent. We enjoyed being able to spend a few hours in the city before our journey onwards.

We were truly spoiled by our first included lunch in Brest! It was a superb meal, served to us at the table and included tea and coffee. A wonderful restaurant.

Barry and Gareth did an excellent job with their organisation and coping with various bureaucracy at the borders.
We have some marvellous memories from this trip due to all the superb things we have seen and done. Well done Leger for organising a wonderful experience.

"This tour was more than we ever expected."

"We were "first time Legers" and we chose this tour as there were so many places we wished to see, and travelling by road was an added bonus as so much is missed by flying. The experience took us through France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and then back via Germany Belgium and France.

The Berlin by night tour was good, it is a very vibrant city and we would like to return. Every day of this tour was a highlight, but our favourite place has got to be Moscow, Red Square at night was spectacular, as was the ride on the Moscow Metro - an optional excursion not to be missed. Our local guides were informative and funny and our drivers coped very competently with the heavy Moscow traffic.

There were many excursions on offer, The Ballet, Folklore Show, The Armoury and the Hermitage but to name a few. You cannot go on this tour without going on all the offered excursions. This is a very busy and demanding tour and in the words of our driver "This is an experience not a holiday." This was absolutely right and we were so pleased that we chose this tour. It was good being in a group, we met some lovely people on this tour and they were excellent travel companions.

This tour was more than we ever expected, everywhere was so clean and the locals did seem very friendly with English being spoken in most of the destinations. But of course this holiday would have been nothing without our lovely drivers Barry and Gareth. They conducted the tour in a very professional manner, their local knowledge was so informative and at times it must have been very stressful for them coping with the city traffic.

We stayed in many hotels, they were all of a good standard, but the one that stands out for us was the Planeta at Minsk, it was a traditional Soviet style hotel, and the minute we walked in the room felt that we wanted to search for hidden cameras/microphones left over from the Soviet era!

Although this was our first Leger holiday, it was one of the best coach tour holidays we have been on.
