Hello,

I am trying to book the trip to Austria & Prague leaving on 17th May. We need to be picked up and dropped off at Ludlow in Shropshire. However, when we try to select this as our departure point, Ludlow isn't on the 'Outbound' dropdown list. It is however on the 'Inbound' dropdown list!!?

Anybody any ideas? The office is now closed so can't ring them til tomorrow. This is so annoying. I've spent all weekend researching where to go, which tour to choose. And now I've come to book, I can't!! Aaaarrgghh!

Italian Sud Tirol and Venice

My wife and I are taking are first ever coaching holiday. We would welcome any advice and impressions of anyone who has taken this tour. We are going to the Sud Tirol on the 11th. August by Silver Service.

We have previously flown on all our other holidays and just fancied a change and decided on trying a coaching holiday.

Should anyone else be going there on this date why not get in touch?

Anyone have any feedback on Gasthof Kordiler and the village it's located in? There isn't much on the internet about St Peter, but it looks gorgeous - is it a really tiny village, or are there other shops, bars, hotels etc? I understand the proprietor at Gasthof Kordiler, a lady called Trudy, is very nice. What kind of fare is served for the included dinners? Any info would be really helpful - cheers.

Austria All-inclusive Silver Service 22/09/2007

A great start for anyone who has booked for the Austria All inclusive SILVER SERVICE tour on 22/09/2007. A letter today from Michele Roebuck of Leger Customer Relations to inform us all that due to their inability to organise a SILVER SERVICE coach from Calais to Brussels this first part of the holiday will be by STANDARD ie "Executive" less leg room coach. We are assured that this coach "will be of high specification and very comfortable" - makes you wonder why you bothered booking a SILVER SERVICE holiday. Oh and by they way there is NO offer of any form of compensation, not even maybe free coffee on the "Executive" coach. Do you too, like me, remember those days when there was such a thing called "Goodwill" where a company prized itself on doing the right thing and not hiding behind their "Terms and Conditions" ?

Come on Leger you can do better for those of us on this tour !!

I am an OAP booked on the Lake Como tour in September and staying at the Hotel Excelsior Splendide. Can anyone answer the following questions:-

1) Does the hotel have air conditioning

2) Is it clean?

3) Are there mosquitoes in September?

4) What trips do you recommend? (I like visiting gardens.)

5) Will the swimming pool be open in September?

We have recently booked our first coaching holiday and found the Leger site very helpful in deciding exactly where we wanted to go. Its extensive and informative content also gave us much food for thought for any future holidays we may take.

It is a bit dissapointing however that the Forum is not used as much as it could be as there must be people out there with a lot of advice etc. to give as regards the good (and even) bad things experiences they have had. The places one must see, the things one must do.

So come on people use the Forum

I was due to go on Monet's Garden & Versailles for Singles on 27th July, but this has been cancelled because only 14 people were going. I have been offered 19th July instead but this is not a singles departure and I'm a bit concerned about being the only one for dinner! Has anyone else transferred onto this holiday?

Any experience with China airlines from Europe to Asia?

I'm thinking about going to Thailand in May and I have started checking up prices for flights. The cheapest option seems to be China Airlines. I have never used them before so I'm not really sure what to expect. Has anyone got any recent experience with this airliner? Is there enough legroom? What is the service like on economy? Is there a personal TV screen in each seat?

My wife and I are looking to pay a visit to Austria with Leger, but on checking out the hotel used in the Gems of Austria tour (Sport Berger Hotel), I have found a number of recent reports stating that the hotel is not up to a 4* standard in both food and accommodation. It has also been noted that it is certainly not the place to go for peace and quiet with music thumping through the hotel until the early hours of the morning.

I was wondering if anyone has had any recent experience of the hotel and could give me their opinions of it?

We are specifically looking at this tour as it visits the Grossglockner glacier.

Alternatively we may choose the little trains tour. Does anyone know if in Niederau (where the hotels are for the little trains tour) there is a travel agent/operator that could book us on to a Grossglockner glacier tour for one of the days that's marked as optional in the itinery?

Hotel Iva Diano Marina Italy

I have stayed at the Hotel Iva on two previous occasions in the last five years with mi partner and must say that it is a very pleasent family run hotel. The Barla family a very nice and friendly and only to happy to help there guests. The hotel is on a bit of an incline with steps leading down to the front, not siutable for wheel chairs, you can walk down the main road but as with all Italian roads it can be a bit tricky, especially the way they driv, no proper footpath. If you walk with sticks or are particularly bad on your pins this hotel is not for you.

Once you get onto the sea front they have a lovely long flat paved prom which is very pleasant to walk along. The shops and food are really good and they have a market that seems to go on for ever a couple of times a week. The people are very helpful and friendly. Monte Carlo and Monaco are well, you have to go just to look how the other half live. All in all this is one of the best places we have been in Italy and we enjoyed more than Lake Garda or Sorrento. Although Venice is another story.
