Floriade is a magnificent World Horticultural Expo staged once every ten years in the
Netherlands, attracting visitors from all over the world. It really is an event not to be
missed, so book early to secure your place.
A gardener’s dream
During the period from April until mid-
October 2012, the sixth Floriade will be
organised in Venlo, situated close to the
German and Belgian borders. Floriade
2012 presents visitors with the opportunity
to enjoy the world's most exquisite and
exceptional flowers, plants, trees, fruit and
vegetables. The range of superb exhibitions
and shows are spread across the five
themed zones of the 66 hectare park.
Open your senses to a
multicultural global
extravaganza
The theme for Floriade 2012 is ‘be part of
the theatre in nature, get closer to the
quality of life’. Floriade 2012 lets you
experience nature. Using the senses of
sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell, you
can experience at first hand the influence
horticulture has on the quality of our
daily lives.
But Floriade 2012 offers much more.
Each day features a cultural programme of
music, dance, literature, theatre and visual
art from all over the world.
Perfect short breaks to an
unmissable event
Take your pick from our collection of
4 or 5-day breaks, perhaps combining
your visit to Floriade with excursions to
Amsterdam, Cologne, or The Hague and
Scheveningen. Look out for selected
departures in April, which also feature a
visit to the world-famous gardens of
Keukenhof Park to see the springtime
blooms.
It only comes’ round once every ten
years, so don’t miss the opportunity to
