Binche Carnival

Each year during the three days preceding Lent, the medieval town of Binche in Belgium's French-speaking Wallonia region hosts a jovial carnival celebration that brings together the townspeople and attracts throngs of foreign visitors.

Brussels Jazz Marathon

When: 25 - 27 May 2008 (annual)

Where: Brussels

Jazz fans can enjoy modern and trad jazz, blues and Latin, indoors and out during the annual Brussels Jazz Marathon. Local and international groups and artists fill the main squares, streets, bars and theatres of the Belgian capital.

Eu'ritmix: European Rhythms Festival

When: Aug 2008 (annual)

Where: Brussels

Brussels' city squares host an outdoor festival of over 60 free performances by artists from all over Europe - Eu'ritmix. This festival of European music, rhythms and cultures was born out of the common desire to energise the centre of Brussels by organising a free and friendly musical event.
