What our previous travellers have to say about this tour

"We decide in late summer to visit the Christmas Markets in Europe. We normally book our holiday flights, hotels and transfers online separately, but after picking up the Leger brochure we found the ‘Berlin by Air’ four day package to be an unbeatable value for money.

We flew from our local East Midlands Airport arriving in Berlin at 10.40am local time, giving us almost the full day on day one.
We were met at the airport gate by Kerstin, one of Leger’s local reps, who was most helpful during our journey to the hotel advising us on local stations, best value travel tickets etc.

Our hotel, Holiday Inn Berlin – Mitte was well up to a four star standard with well informed staff and serving an excellent breakfast each morning to start the day. It is in the north of the city just a five minute walk from the Gersundbrunner Station, which has great connections to almost anywhere in the city.

On our first day we travelled to the large Christmas market at Alexanderplatz and tasted the wonderful, warm gluhwein, which is served in all the markets around the city.

Our second day began with a two hour coach tour followed by a one hour guided walk which was part of the holiday package. We have been on many such tours in most of the major cities in Europe and I have to say that the guide on this tour was the most interesting, informative and amusing one we have ever travelled with. We spent the rest of the day at the market next to Kaiser Wilhelm Church – more gluhwein and roast chestnuts followed by cocktails in Europe's largest department store, Ka De We on Kurfurstendam.

On the third day we visited various places of interest suggested on the previous day’s tour; Checkpoint Charlie, Topography of Terror and the Berlin Wall remains. We finished our day with a fine meal in the Nikolai Quarter, one of the older parts of Berlin (suggested by the hotel reception staff).

Overall, a wonderful holiday spent meeting some great people from all over the world, all in the Christmas spirit.
We were looked after in a most professional way by Leger, from the initial booking right through to the final day. We will certainly be doing this again next year!
