9-Day Break
- Dec 27 – Local departure then onward travel through the night towards Croatia.
- Dec 28 – Arrive at our hotel in Croatia in the resort of Rabac for six nights. D
- Dec 29 – Labin (included). Morning at leisure in Rabac, one of Istria’s largest beach resorts in a lovely position on a sheltered cove. In the afternoon we include an excursion to nearby Labin, situated on a hill above your resort. Afterwards we head to a winetasting venue at a typical Istrian ‘Konoba’, where you will be greeted by music played on traditional instruments before sampling local wines.B,D
- Dec 30 – Highlights of Istria Tour (optional). Join a full-day tour along the coast of Istria, visiting the picturesque town of Rovinj, beautifully situated on a headland overlooking the sea. We also visit the seaside town of Porec where streets continue to preserve their original architecture and numerous cultural and historical monuments. B,D
- New Year's Eve – ula (included). Join an excursion for shopping and sightseeing in Pula. Here you can see much evidence of the Roman period including the huge Arena, or amphitheatre, sixth largest in the world and also one of the best preserved. Like Verona in Italy, the arena is still used during the summer months for festivals. Return to our hotel in plenty of time to prepare for tonight’s festivities.B,D
- New Year's Day – Motovon and Mulino Casino (optional). A relaxing start to the day, then in the afternoon why not join our optional excursion to the beautiful medieval hillside town of Motovun, dating from the 15th century. We also call at the Mulino Casino, one of the most attractive and well- run casinos in Europe. Try a New Year flutter! B,D
- Jan 2 – Opatija (optional). On our last day, why not join our optional tour to the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, the seaside resort of Opatija, Enjoy the shops and seaside promenades. B,D
- Jan 3 – We leave Croatia and begin our journey home, travelling through the night. B
- Jan 4 – Homeward bound, via Calais.
