7-Day Break
- Day 1 – Local departure by coach then to northern France for an overnight stay.
- Day 2 – To Col des Mosses, Switzerland, for a four-night stay. B,D
- Day 3 – Interlaken and Bernese Oberland (included). A day of beautiful Swiss scenery as we proceed to Interlaken, a fashionable town with typical Swiss atmosphere, situated between Lakes Thun and Brienz. We then venture into the heart of the spectacular Bernese Oberland to the winter ski resort of Grindelwald. Marvel at the breathtaking panoramic view of the Jungfrau, Eiger and the Monch – arguably three of Switzerland’s most famous peaks. B,D
- Day 4 – Berne (optional); Berne Sightseeing (optional). Today we visit the cosmopolitan Swiss capital of Berne. This beautiful city dates back to the 12th century and enjoys a stunning setting on the banks of the River Aare. With its Gothic sandstone buildings, historical towers and picturesque fountains, Berne is one the most impressive examples of medieval architecture in Europe. Over the centuries, the townscape has been preserved virtually intact, and in 1983 received UNESCO World Heritage Site status. B,D
- Day 5 – Montreux & Lake Geneva (included); Lake Cruise (optional). Today, we enjoy a full day to Lake Geneva. We stop in Montreux where the Lake region is known as the ‘Swiss Riviera’. We spend the rest of the day in lakeside Geneva, where you have free time to wander around this cosmopolitan city, with its
smart shops. The day ends with a chance to see the city from the water, on an optional lake cruise. B,D
- Day 6 – To the Paris area for an overnight stay. B
- Day 7 – To Calais then return home. B
