9-Day Break
- Day 1 – Local departure by coach, then onwards to northern France for an overnight stay.
- Day 2 – Continue south to Bad Serneus, Switzerland for a six-night stay. B,D
- Day 3 – Davos and Klosters (optional). Morning visit to Davos, Europe’s highest town and a delight during summer, being surrounded on all sides by idyllic countryside. Then in the afternoon we visit Klosters, a winter favourite of the Royal family. B,L,D.
- Day 4 – Bregenz and Lake Constance (optional). Close to the borders of Austria, Germany and Switzerland, Bregenz nestles on the shores of Lake Constance. Don’t miss the fine lakeside promenade and St. Martin’s Tower. B,L,D
- Day 5 – Swiss Glacier Express (optional). Take a train ride on the world-famous Swiss Glacier Express from Davos to Andermatt. The train has panoramic viewing carriages with over-sized windows giving clear views of the fabulous scenery. In order to guarantee your place on the train, this trip must be purchased at the time of booking at a cost of £70 per person for 2011 departures; £75 per person for 2012 departures. Please note: Oct 8 2011 departure will feature the Glacier Express from Chur to Andermatt. B,L,D
- Day 6 – Ticino and Lugano (included). Enjoy fantastic scenic views as we head to Lugano, set beside the blue waters of Lake Lugano. Enjoy the ‘chic’ of the town’s piazzas and promenades, and perhaps take a ride on the funicular up Monte Brè for spectacular views. B,L,D
- Day 7 – St. Moritz (included). A morning excursion to the elegant resort of St. Moritz, home to the famous Cresta Run and famous for its air of elegance. B,L,D
- Day 8 – To Belgium for an overnight stay. B
- Day 9 – To Calais and return home. B
