Your Holiday Itinerary
6-Day Break
- Day 1 – Local departure by coach then to Holyhead for the ferry to Ireland and on to Monaghan for a four-night stay.
- Day 2 – County Down Our included excursion begins in Hillsborough, famed for its castle, an official government residence, before continuing to Newcastle, where the Mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea. This afternoon we visit the town of Downpatrick, where in the grounds of Down Cathedral lies a grave reputed to be that of St. Patrick. B,D
- Day 3 – Belfast Enjoy our optional excursion to Belfast. Don’t miss City Hall, and no visit to Belfast is complete without a drop of the black stuff in the Crown Liquor Saloon. B,D
- Day 4 – Giant’s Causeway and Derry A day of fantastic scenery on our included excursion, as we head to the world-famous Giant’s Causeway (entrance extra) with its basalt columns and tales of ancient Irish giants. Our day continues with a visit to the fascinating walled town of Derry. B,D
- Day 5 – Dublin We leave Monaghan and travel to Dublin where you have some free time. Join our optional sightseeing tour, seeing the best of this splendid city including Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, National Gallery and the Four Courts. Overnight tonight in the Dublin area.. B
- Day 6 – To Dublin/Dun Laoghaire for the ferry to Holyhead then continue our journey home. B*
