14-Day Break
- Day 1 - Local departure by coach then onwards to northern France for an overnight stay.
- Day 2 - Continue south through France to our hotel on the Italian Riviera for three nights.B,D
- Day 3 - Alassio and San Remo (included).
A day seeing the the ‘Riviera dei Fiori’ or Riviera of Flowers.
We visit the premier seaside resort of Alassio, known as the 'pearl' of the Baia del Sole (Bay of the Sun) with its lovely beach and seafront walks.
We continue to San Remo, with its smart harbour, wide, palm-lined promenades and shopping area. B,D
- Day 4 - Monaco and Monte Carlo (optional).
In the morning we visit the principality of Monaco – its eight square miles form the smallest, and almost certainly the wealthiest, sovereign state in the world.
It also has one of the few autocratic monarchies left in the world.
The afternoon is at leisure in probably the most famous part of Monaco, Monte Carlo.
If you feel lucky, take a chance in the Grand Casino, with its lavish interiors decorated in the striking Belle Epoque style. B,D
Onboard your cruise ship...
- Day 5 - Mid morning departure for Genoa where we board the MSC Melody.
Depart 1600.
Portofino (Italy): Arrive 1830. Depart 2230. B,D
- Day 6 - Toulon (France): Arrive 1000. Depart 1800. B,L,D
- Day 7 - Olbia (Sardinia): Arrive 0900. Depart 1600. B,L,D
- Day 8 - La Goulette (Tunisia): Arrive 0800. Depart 1400. B,L,D
- Day 9 - Catania (Sicily): Arrive 0800. Depart 1700. B,L,D
- Day 10 - Salerno (Italy): Arrive 0800. Depart 1600. B,L,D
- Day 11 - Ajaccio (Corsica): Arrive 1000. Depart 2000. B,L,D
- Day 12 - Genoa: Arrive 0900 and disembark.
We rejoin our coach and travel north through France to the Dijon area. B
- Day 13 - We continue to the Paris area.
In the evening why not join our Paris by Night excursion (optional).
View the sights of this great city and enjoy a meal at a restaurant in the centre of Paris. B
- Day 13 - To Calais, then return home.
