Your Holiday Itinerary

9-Day Break

  • Day 1 – Fly to Krakow, where you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel for a three-night stay.
  • Day 2 – Krakow with Sightseeing Tour (included); Wieliczka Salt Mines (optional). Krakow’s Old Town is placed on the UNESCO list of protected World Historic Sites on account of its fabulous architecture. During our included sightseeing tour you will see the delights of the Old Town and Wawel Castle, impressively situated on a hilltop overlooking the Vistula River. In the afternoon join our optional tour to the Salt Mines at Wieliczka. Walk through the impressive galleries and see fantastic sculptures carved out of the rock salt. B
  • Day 3 – Auschwitz (optional). Free day in Krakow or join our poignant optional excursion to Auschwitz, the largest of the Nazi concentration camps. Preserved in order, so that mankind never forgets the atrocities committed here, Auschwitz remains a hugely emotional experience. B
  • Day 4 – Leave Krakow and travel through Slovakia to Budapest for a one-night stay. B,D
  • Day 5 – Budapest (included). Free time to explore Budapest, but to get the most from your time here join our optional sightseeing tour capturing many of the sights including the Fisherman’s Bastion, the Royal Palace, Parliament Building and St. Stephen’s Basilica. Beginning with a drive to Gellért Hill, we then cross the famous Chain Bridge and travel on to the Pest district, passing Heroes’ Square and ending at the Buda Castle district, then continue to Austria and to Stockerau near Vienna for a two-night stay.   • Day 6 – Vienna (included). Once the centre of the Habsburg Empire, Vienna boasts a fascinating imperial heritage with many museums and fine buildings. Sample the local delicacies such as coffee and a slice of Sachertorte. Our optional guided tour will show you the principal sights, including the Hofburg Palace, Parliament Building, Opera House, National Theatre and the City Hall and the house where Johann Strauss composed the Blue Danube Waltz.   • Day 7 – To Bratislava (included). Enjoy a brief orientation tour of the highlights of Bratislava, Slovakia’s capital, with its exquisitely renovated centre of Baroque palaces, fountains and romantic streets, then continue to Prague for a two-night stay. B,D
  • Day 8 – Prague (included). Prague is widely recognised as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Our optional guided walking tour will introduce the splendid architecture of Prague Old Town. The many historic buildings, grand squares and elegant landmarks such as Wenceslas Square, the famous Astronomical Clock and Charles Bridge make it a lovely place to explore on foot. Our local guide’s informative commentary will reveal many of the stories behind the buildings and personalities, which have shaped the history of this magnificent city. B,D
  • Day 9 – Transfer to the airport and return flights home. B
