- Day 5 – Venice (optional). Venice Lagoon Cruise (optional). Explore Venice’s maze of bridges and canals, then admire the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square and the Doges’ Palace. Perhaps join an optional Venice lagoon cruise, which offers a completely different view of the city. The city of Venice combines Byzantine and Renaissance architecture, throughout its 118 islands.
