9-Day Break
- Day 1 - Local departure by coach or by Eurostar from London and onwards to Paris for an overnight stay.
- Day 2 - By TGV high speed train from Paris to Milan then transfer by coach to our hotel in Lake Maggiore for a 6-night stay. B, D
- Day 3 - Borromean Islands (optional). The Borromean Islands lie at the centre of Lake Maggiore and are fine examples of natural beauty enhanced by landscaped gardens and parks. We start in Baveno from where a boat will take us across to Isola Bella. Here you will have free time to visit the Palazzo Borromeo and its splendid gardens (entrance included). From here we continue to the opulent resort town of Stresa where you have time at leisure to explore this lovely lakeside resort, with its promenade, grand architecture and cosmopolitan atmosphere. - Day 4 - Macugnaga and Monte Rosa (optional). A spectacular drive via the superbly scenic Anzasca valley amidst steep mountains where chalets seem to cling to the hillsides to the winter ski resort and ancient town of Macugnaga in a superb picturesque setting at the foot of the imposing Monte Rosa (15200 ft). During your visit to this pretty village, why not take the Belvedere chairlift up to the great ‘pink mountain’ to view the Alps in all their glory? B, D
- Day 5 - Zermatt (optional). On this full-day excursion into Switzerland, we travel along the grand Simplon Pass, with its superb views over the Swiss and Italian Alps. Since Zermatt is totally pedestrianised, we leave our coach at Täsch and take the railway up to Zermatt where you’ll have free time to explore this winter and ski resort favoured by the rich and famous which is surrounded by such renowned mountains as the Gornergrat, the Monte Rosa and, of course, the Matterhorn. - Day 6 - Como and Lugano (included). Join our excursion to these two popular resorts – Como on Lake Como, and Lugano on Lake Lugano. Explore Lake Como and then enjoy the atmosphere in Lugano, also known as the Monte Carlo of Switzerland, in a superb setting between the mountains of Bré and Salvatore. B, D
- Day 7 - Milan (included); Guided Sightseeing Tour (optional). A fantastic included excursion to the splendid city of Milan. Why not join our optional sightseeing tour seeing the magnificent gothic style Duomo (cathedral), seat of the Archbishop of Milan, and the Galleria, a covered double arcade., D
- Day 8 - By TGV train from Milan to Paris for an overnight stay. B
- Day 9 - Return home by coach or by Eurostar. B

Travel by Eurostar
You can travel to Paris by Eurostar from London St. Pancras or Ebbsfleet, at a supplement of £39 return.
Please note that taxi transfers between Gare du Nord Eurostar station and your hotel in Paris are extra and cost around €30 each way.
