Your Holiday Itinerary

9-Day Break - Departing 5th May 2011 - Flying Start, Coach Return

  • Day 1 – Fly from your chosen airport to Milan, then transfer to your hotel for a seven-night stay.  D
  • Day 2 – Day at leisure in Lake Garda. B,D
  • Day 3 – Verona with Sightseeing Tour (optional). The home of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and one of Italy’s most ancient cities. Our guided walking tour will show you the best of the city, including the 1st century Arena, which dominates the main square. B,D
  • Day 4 – Venice (optional). A wonderful excursion to this world-famous city. Made up of 118 islands in a lagoon, Venice is steeped in history. You can enjoy the famous sights; start at St. Mark’s Square with its magnificent Campanile or Bell Tower and the Doges’ Palace. Then walk north through the charming old streets to the Grand Canal and the lofty Rialto Bridge.  B,D
  • Day 5 – Bolzano and the Renon Pyramids (optional). Accompanied by a local guide, we drive through the Adige Valley to the charming town of Bolzano, the ‘little pearl’ of the Italian Süd Tirol with its Gothic cathedral and narrow cobbled streets. We board the area’s longest cable car for a panoramic journey to Soprabolzano. Switching to a quaint old train, we then travel through forests and fields, admiring the views of the surrounding peaks. Arriving at Collalbo, our coach takes us to Longomasso. From here, we walk to the famous earth pyramids on the Renon plateau (please note this may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties), before returning by coach to our hotel. If you do not wish to take the cable car you can travel by coach to Collalbo. B,D
  • Day 6 – Day at leisure in Lake Garda. B,D
  • Day 7 – Lake Garda (included). A full-day excursion around Lake Garda. We visit Malcesine, with its old town, squares and streets clustered around the foot of the Scaliger Castle, then along the eastern shore of the lake to the town of Garda, with its smart Parish Church and Villa Albertini, dating from the 16th century. In the south of the lake we stop at the gem of the peninsula, Sirmione. B,D
  • Day 8 – By coach to Belgium for an overnight stay.  B
  • Day 9 – To Calais and return home to a local joining point. B

  • Day 1 – Local departure by coach then onwards to Belgium for an overnight stay.
  • Day 2 – Continue south to Lake Garda for a seven-night stay. B,D
  • Day 3Lake Garda (included). A full-day excursion around Lake Garda.
