5-Day Break

  • Day 1 – Travel to the Rhine Valley for a four-night stay 
  • Day 2 – Rüdesheim, Included visit to the picturesque riverside ‘wine town’ of Rüdesheim. Explore the lively Drosselgasse, a narrow street with cosy cafés, shops and bars. In the afternoon, join our optional sightseeing drive by little road train, which includes a visit to Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum, with its fascinating selfplaying musical instruments. B,D
  • Day 3 – Cochem and the Moselle Valley, Today’s optional excursion begins at Koblenz, where the Rhine and Moselle meet, then continues along the gentle Moselle Valley to charming Cochem. Later enjoy an optional winetasting at the House of Anton Hammes in Alken, where you can take a tour through the cellars of fine vintages, with the chance to sample and buy. B,D
  • Day 4 – Rhine Valley Full-day included excursion along the Rhine Valley. Marvel at the superb medieval castles and vineyards; the world-famous Loreley Rock; Boppard, with its splendid Rhine Promenade; and St. Goar, home to the world’s largest cuckoo clock shop. The perfect way to view the Rhine is from the water on our optional river cruise through the Rhine Gorge, famous for its picturesque villages, vine-clad slopes and many ancient castles (Kaub, Cat and Mouse, to name a few). .   • Day 5 - To Calais then return home. B

 7-Day Break

  • Day 1 – Local departure by coach then to Belgium for an overnight stay.
  • Day 2 – Cologne We head to Cologne. Its Old Town is a haven with welcoming bars, restaurants and excellent shopping. You’ll be inspired by the magnificent Dom, the gothic cathedral, which dominates this fine city. We continue through the Rhine Gorge to reach Assmannshausen for a five-night stay. B,D

  • Day 7 - To Calais, then return home. B
