4-Day Break
- Day 1 – Local departure by coach then to Caen for a three-night stay.
- Day 2 – Deauville, Trouville and Honfleur (included). Included excursion exploring the beautiful Normandy coastline. First we visit Deauville and Trouville, both favourite seaside resorts for the Parisians. Deauville is the more glamorous, with its casinos and yachting harbour. Trouville’s charm is its long beach, lined by beautiful buildings and its working fishing port. We then continue to Honfleur, renowned for its old, beautiful harbour area, characterised by its houses with slate-covered frontages, painted many times by artists, including Gustave Courbet and Claude Monet. B
- Day 3 – Rouen (included). Enjoy our included excursion to Rouen with its fine half-timbered buildings in the Old Town. See Notre Dame cathedral with its splendid Butter Tower, immortalised in paintings by Claude Monet. Take a stroll to admire the famous Gros Horloge, a huge astronomical clock dating back to the 16th century and, in the centre of the Old Market Square stands the church of St. Joan of Arc, whose design represents the pyre on which Joan perished in 1431. B
- Day 4 – To Calais then return home. B

- Day 4 – St. Malo (optional). Optional full-day excursion to the fortified town of St. Malo, with its huge ramparts and city walls, which you can walk around. Explore the old centre and the maze of narrow, cobbled streets, steeped in history, and perhaps try one of the famous crêpes. We also visit the pretty medieval town of Dinan with its picturesque half timbered medieval buildings. B
- Day 5 – To Calais then return home. B
