John and Christine Roberts - Christmas and New Year on the Spanish Coast
Our holiday last Christmas and New Year 2011 was spent on the Spanish Coast. We chose this particular holiday as we would be staying in Calella which is our favourite Spanish town. As we have been on all the excursions on previous visits we now enjoy doing our own thing but we would certainly advise first time visitors to the area to partake in as many excursions as possible. They are all very good with plenty of variety, Montserrat and Barcelona, with so many places of interest, is a must.
Calella is old Spain which we love and not your high rise hotels etc. We have always found the local people to be very friendly. For those who want a more hectic night life and discos you may find Santa Suzanna more to your liking.
