Food and Drink

Naan

A simple yet essential part of an Indian meal, naan is a leavened flatbread that is kneaded with yoghurt and traditionally cooked in a clay oven. Whilst having them plain is a popular choice, many people enjoy naans mixed with butter, garlic, paneer or peshawari.

Masala Dosa

Famous all over the world, dosas are a light, crispy rice pancake usually filled with potatoes and onions, but can also be combined with other vegetables. It can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or as a snack, and is often served with chutneys and sambar.

Lassi

Originating from the Punjab region, lassis are an ancient yoghurt based drink that can be salted or sweet. Salted lassis are considered to be savoury, with spices such as cumin added to enhance the flavour, whilst sweet lassis are often blended with fruit, including mango, banana and apple.

Qutab Minar

Renowned for its rich history and fine details, the incredible Qutub Minar is India’s tallest minaret. Completed in the 12th century, the five-story tower rises more than 70 metres and is made from a unique mix of marble and sandstone. You'll also find inscriptions from the Quran carved into the exterior.
