Day 1

Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to Belgium for an overnight stay.

On coach holidays of 7 days’ duration or more and Single Traveller coach holidays, you don’t even have to think about getting to your local joining point.

If you live within 20 miles of one of our free joining point, we’ll pick you up from your home and take you to meet your feeder coach, then return you back home at the end of your holiday. On European coach holidays of 7 days' or more, the cost of this is just £30 per booking each way (Up to 4 people per booking). For Single Traveller holidays, it’s free of charge.

If you live a little further afield, you can also take advantage of this convenient option for an additional charge

Continue south to our 4-star hotel in Niederau, Austria for a six-night stay.

Day 3 - Ziller Valley Railway and Mayrhofen

Today’s included excursion takes us on a wonderful, panoramic trip through the Ziller Valley as we ride on the Zillertal narrow railway from Fügen to Mayrhofen, where you will have time to explore this delightful village at the head of the valley.

Day 4 - St. Wolfgang and the Schafberg Railway

Austria’s lake district is breathtaking. Our optional excursion briefly visits St. Gilgen before joining the lake cruise ship to St. Wolfgang, where we board the cog railway and ascend the Schafberg Mountain for some spectacular photographic opportunities. Enjoy free time in St. Wolfgang to explore the shops and enjoy this pretty lakeside village.

Day 5 - Innsbruck

Optional excursion to the Tyrolean capital, Innsbruck. Its many fine buildings, including the famous Golden Roof, are a legacy of the Habsburg Emperor Maximilian. Today you can also see the more modern Bergisel Olympic ski jump, from where there are wonderful views overlooking the city. Whilst in Innsbruck why not join our optional trip aboad the Nordkettenbahnen, taking you to the Seegrub mountain station by train and cablecar.

Day 6 - Pinzgau Train and Kitzbühel

Included excursion visiting the pretty, walled town of Kitzbühel. We continue to Mittersill, where we board the Pinzgau Train and take a nostalgic rail journey through the mountains.

Day 7 - Lake Achensee

Optional scenic drive (included on Silver Service) along the Alpenstrasse to Lake Achensee, the largest lake in the Austrian Tyrol. There you can take an optional cruise on the lake or ride on the rack and pinion railway from Jenbach to Seespitz, which offers amazing views of the area.

Optional excursion to Salzburg, with its lovely squares, medieval lanes and Gothic churches. An optional, guided walking tour is a wonderful way to see the sights, many of which were featured in the film ‘The Sound of Music’.

We leave the Austrian Tyrol and head north into Germany, with a stop made on the Romantic Road in the pretty town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Continue to our overnight hotel in central Germany.

Day 11 - Rhineland

Enjoy a relaxing day touring and sightseeing along the Rhine Valley with an optional cruise on the river. We continue to Belgium for an overnight stay.

Please Note: 12ATAV 19 September 2016 departure will coincide with Almabtrieb Festival in Alpbachtal, which we will include an excursion. The Almabtrieb Festival celebrates the cows returning from the summer pastures and is a spectacular event where hundreds of cows are driven through the valleys, with their horns gaily decorated with garlands. Local villages put together events such as fairs, perhaps a farmers' market, food and drink and lots of music. The party goes on long after the cows have come home! 



FAQ's about our tours

Certain excursions are included in the price of your holiday. If you choose not to go on an included excursion, for whatever reason, no refunds will be made.
Yes, you will receive one with your Travel Documents, which are sent 7-10 days before departure.
We believe that our holidays may not be suitable for children under 8 years old (except for Disneyland Paris bookings) however, we will consider individual requests on application. Customers aged 18 and under at the time of travel must be accompanied by an adult, parent or guardian aged over 18 years old.

We do have holidays that are suitable for wheelchair users, however the person using the wheelchair will need to be able to get on and off the coach if a coach tour is booked. Our coaches are not suitable for someone who is wheelchair reliant as we can only take folding wheelchairs that are stored in the luggage compartment.

We cannot guarantee that assistance will be available for the disabled person / wheelchair user and such bookings will only be accepted if that person is travelling with an able-bodied person who is fully able to attend to the needs of his/her co-traveller.

Passengers travelling by Eurostar in standard class seats must be able to walk 200 yards (183 metres) unaided. Please note; only collapsible wheelchairs are permitted on board standard class Eurostar coaches, as these must be stored in the luggage storage areas. Any passengers who are wheelchair reliant are required to be allocated in the 'Standard Premier' coaches where wheelchair user spaces are located. As these spaces are limited to 1 per train you must advise us immediately if you require them in order that we can reserve with Eurostar.

Excursions on our tours visit places of interest and public buildings. These may not be able to accommodate people with walking difficulties and wheelchair access may not be available. Excursions which include sightseeing tours may involve walking long distances and sometimes over cobbled or uneven surfaces.

The accommodation we use on our tours may not have ground floor rooms and in some instances lifts will not always be available. Occasionally access to your hotel may involve walking distances from the coach park and some hotels have a flight of steps to the Reception.

It is very important that checks are made with regard to the suitability of a tour for you prior to you make any booking with us.

We accept collapsible wheelchairs and we can also accommodate Electric Scooters however they must be easily dismantled by the customer and each component must weigh less than 20kg and the scooter no more than 60kg in total. The scooter must also have a dry cell battery. Please call before booking so we can make sure the tour suits any extra requirements.
