Why enjoy a tipple or two during our optional wine tasting at a local wine cellar, where you can sample the regions grapes. Our final stop is Monschau, where you can walk the cobbled streets and explore the quaint markets, or choose to visit the famous Rotes Haus museum.

Delicacies to be found in local bakeries include the spiced gingerbread known as 'Aachener Printen’, or the 'Rice Cake', a light yeast dough filled with sweet and creamy rice and oven baked for a golden yellow appearance.

We travel first to the enchanting town of Valkenburg on our included excursion. Admire the beautiful buildings and quaint cobbled streets of this fortified town. Later, we travel to Monschau – a photographer’s paradise! Half-timbered façades overlook twisting streets, cobbled walkways and quaint market squares. A local speciality is Monschau Mustard: try it if you dare!

The family-run Seemoewe Hotel Simmerath is located in the beautiful Eifelort Einruhr, overlooking the Obersee River in the attractive little village of Einruhr. The hotel is just on the outskirts of the Eifel National Park which covers over 110 square kilometres of stunning landscapes. The area also offers some local attractions which include the Stalactites Dams, Salt cave in Simmerath, historical town of Monschau and Hiembach town. The hotel also boasts a delightful terrace overlooking the lake, a lounge, bar and restaurant.

Location beautiful, traveling not so good Bad show at Stop 24 no announcement that our transfer coach cancelled and a replacement coach was taking us back to Liverpool had to ask a fellow passenger for the information otherwise would have still been sitting there all night!!! Have to say though that our drivers (especially Roddy and Phil outstanding)
